There are many different Lakshmi Yogas; all of them indicate prosperity bestowed by the Goddess of Fortune, Lakshmi. Lakshmi is the consort of Vishnu, as that she indicates the power to manifest the many things of the world. That is what true prosperity is, the ability to manifest what one needs when one needs it, and it is that which this yoga indicates. Krishna states that the way to prosperity is to follow one’s dharma; in this particular version of Lakshmi Yoga the 9th lord of dharma and fortune is particularly important, and the lagna lord must be strong, indicating that prosperity comes as a result of following one’s dharma.
